Capco, the global management and technology consultancy, has appointed Dee McDougal as its new US Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).

McDougal’s appointment follows Capco’s public commitment to effect a tangible step-change around DE&I to accelerate its Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) agenda and ensure a zero-tolerance attitude toward discriminatory behaviour.

Commenting on the appointment, Michael Pugliese, Managing Partner of Capco’s US business, said: “Dee is a corporate changemaker and community champion. As a D&I executive, non-profit board member, speaker and consultant on inclusion, she is passionate about creating workplaces where everyone can be the best version of themselves. She will partner with our HR team, as well as leaders from our business and our affinity groups, to drive an integrated DE&I agenda and help us move the needle on awareness, education, diversity recruitment, mentoring, career progression and best practices across the US.”

RISING STAR

Based out of Capco’s office in Charlotte, NC, McDougal will report to Mary Keller, US Head of Human Resources. She joins Capco from Pacific Western Bank (PWB), where she served as Senior Vice President of D&I. In that role she led PWB’s corporate D&I strategy, and developed education and engagement programmes for internal and external stakeholders.

McDougal serves on various external professional committees and advisory groups, including the DE&I Advisory Group and Professional Development Council of the American Bankers Association, the Executive Committee for the North Carolina Black Entrepreneurship Council. She is a member of the NC Rural Center Small Business Policy Task Force; and also serves on the board of directors for Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties and Empower Dance Foundation. Additionally, McDougal was named one of Triangle Business Journal’s ’40 Under 40′ in 2018 and was named a BizWomen Headliner and Rising Star by American City Business Journals.
