REVEALED: 2020’s Top 50 Chief Diversity Officers

The National Diversity Council has revealed 2020’s Top 50 Chief Diversity Officers during its 16th annual conference this week. 

As diversity and innovation have grown into a major business imperative, so too has the call to rank companies and officers on their efforts, according to the US-based National Diversity Council. It believes that Chief Diversity Officers are now “integral to advancing the transformation of organisations through diversity initiative implementation”. 

Its annual Top 50 Chief Diversity Officers Award recognises the efforts of officers who have the “leadership and counsel to maintain and advance diversity and inclusion initiatives”. These leading diversity champions also “provide innovative solutions to strategically prioritise the preservation and advocacy of diverse talent at an organisation or company”.

AWARD CRITERIA

The top 50 Chief Diversity Officers in this year’s list meet a strict criteria, confirmed the National Diversity Council. All award contenders must fulfil the following conditions:

• Drive diversity through innovation within the public and/or private sectors.
• Sustain a record of diversity and/or contributions to field of work throughout the industry within all locations.
• Have clout within their organisation in terms of significant impact on revenues, profitability, and/or direction of the organisation.
• Demonstrate leadership and commitment to community wellbeing and/or high visibility in the community.
• Exhibit and demonstrate a commitment to the highest ethical standards and professional excellence.
