The Duty Free World Council Academy and the Institute of International Retail have launched a free Back To Work training course as duty and tax-free stores reopen around the world.
The course aims equip industry front-line sales staff with in-depth knowledge in the practical skills and techniques that are now required to operate in the new Duty Free and Travel Retail environment.
The course provides guidelines on how travel retailers can ensure both their staff’s safety as well as their customers amid the pandemic. The training has been developed using global industry input with the aim of offering a standardised global approach to retail operations for travel retail professionals returning to work, according to the organisers. The course will involve specific lessons to inform learners on best practice guidelines for travel retail operations.
It will also “equip the industry’s staff with in depth knowledge on the practical skills and techniques that are now required to operate in the new duty free and travel retail environment,” added the organisers. The free online course just takes 15 minutes to complete. Every one who completes the programme will receive a certificate to prove that they’ve finished the training.
