Grupo Vidanta has been recognised by Great Place To Work Mexico as a ‘top millennial employer’.

Grupo Vidanta has been crowned ‘top millennial employer’ by Great Place to Work Mexico (in the 5,000+ employee category) for the third consecutive year, thanks to the ‘high satisfaction levels’ of its large millennial workforce.

The leading developer of resorts, tourism and entertainment infrastructures in Mexico and Latin America, employs around 17,000 employees, of which 6,000 (35%) are millennials.

The company also boasts an employee retention rate of 86%, considered to be ‘the highest in the market’, which it attributes to its diversity and inclusion initiatives.

“We are very proud to be recognised by voters as a Great Place to Work, giving credit to our diversity and inclusion policies,” said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice-President of Grupo Vidanta. “As a company, we are committed to reinforcing and increasing the opportunities, career paths and development programmes for millennials, and all our 17,000 employees.”

TOP INCLUSION & TRAINING INITIATIVES

Grupo Vidanta attributes the high staff retention rate and popularity, particularly amongst millennial employees, to its inclusion initiatives, training programmes and incentives, which help to ‘inspire’ staff to ‘grow and develop within the company’. One of these successful initiatives is JUMP (Jóvenes Universitarios en el Mundo Profesional), where university undergraduates have the opportunity to live at Vidanta for a period of one to three months to gain ‘authentic professional experience’, said the employer.

During 2018, Grupo Vidanta received over 600 young students in the final semester of their bachelor degree, and in 2019, around 30% of those ‘Jumpers’ returned to Vidanta as permanent employees following graduation, the company confirmed.
