Workplace inclusion and ccessibilty summit

The Diversity Network’s Inclusion Summit on 21 April 2021, will focus on accessibility and the new tools/resources to help create a truly inclusive workplace.

There has been a much-needed increased focus on accessibility over the last year. Organisations had to provide new equipment, tools and adjustments for home-based employees. And some discovered there was an untapped pool of talent who may not be able to make it into offices; but are able to perform a role to a high standard remotely, potentially helping to address skills gaps in certain sectors.

It is important that accessibility does not fall down the agenda, and that inclusive design for the benefit of all employees and customers continues to be a priority as businesses begin getting ‘back to normal’, according to the event organiser. Disability inclusion and accessibility is vital to ensure staff with disabilities remain engaged, as reported.

The inclusion summit on accessibility aims to provide expert advice on embedding accessibility as part of your diversity and inclusion strategy and day-to-day activity; the inclusive design tools and technologies readily available to help you achieve greater accessibility; how disability-focused Employee Resource Groups can help shape workplace inclusion for all; how to effectively support and hire neurodivergent employees; and the best ways to measure results.
