To mark International Women’s Day next week, Women in Hospitality, Travel & Leisure (WiHTL) is running a series of free events.
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge, which aims to unify everyone to take action to end gender bias and inequity. WiHTL has produced a series of events on the theme, scheduled to take place on Monday 8th March. Highlights include:
- A session exploring how gender diversity leads to diversity of thinking. It will be hosted by Juliet Bourke, who was originally a criminal and human rights lawyer, and has for the last 10 years been a Partner in Deloitte advising global organisations (including the UN, Apple, APRA and J&J) on leadership, diversity, inclusion and the future of work.
- A panel discussion on the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’ with Karin Sheppard, SVP & MD, Europe IHG; Echo Lu, CEO, Haulfryn Group; and Claire Catlin, CFO, Moto Hospitality. The panel will be led by Sam Siegler, Director, Hospitality, Travel & Leisure, The MBS Group.
- A keynote presentation by Sir Captain Tom’s daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore on women in business and the theme ‘Choose to Challenge’.
- An insightful session on the 5 Career Challenges Women Face Today, led by City CV CEO, Victoria McLean.
