Nominations are now officially open for the 2025 Black British Business Awards (BBBAwards).
Now in its 12th year, the BBBAwards continues to celebrate the exceptional achievements, innovation and leadership of Black British professionals and entrepreneurs across various industries in the UK. These prestigious awards recognise both rising stars and senior leaders who are making a significant impact in their fields.
For over a decade, the BBBAwards has been a catalyst for meaningful change, advocating for greater representation and supporting the advancement of Black professionals into senior leadership positions. By showcasing the achievements of Black talent, these awards promote equity and diversity in the business world.
BBBAWARDS CATEGORIES
The BBBAwards will honour outstanding individuals across six categories. They include:
- Arts & Media
- Consumer & Luxury
- Entrepreneur
- Financial Services
- Professional Services
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)
2025 THEME: #ELEVATE
The theme for this year’s BBBAwards is #Elevate, highlighting the progression, resilience and impact of Black professionals and entrepreneurs in the UK. #Elevate shines a spotlight on individuals who break barriers, redefine excellence and inspire future generations despite systemic challenges. This theme highlights the need for environments where Black talent doesn’t just thrive but leads.
“2025 marks the 12th year of the Black British Business Awards. Our campaign collaborates with some of the world’s most prestigious and influential brands, with JPMorgan Chase as our key partner,” stated Dr Sophie Chandauka MBE, Chair and Executive Founder of the BBBAwards. “This year’s theme, #ELEVATE, is a celebration of trailblazers and game-changers – those shaping industries, setting new standards of excellence, and elevating Black talent in business. We look forward to welcoming another cohort of world-class nominees.”
