The closing date for entries to the Disability Smart Awards 2023 has been extended to Friday 27 January 2023.
The annual Disability Smart Awards, organised by the Business Disability Forum, give organisations the opportunity to share their work and to inspire others. The awards are free to enter and open to UK and global organisations of any size in any sector.
There are 10 Disability Smart award categories this year. These include inclusive workplace experience, customer service, communication and technology. There is also a new award for this year – Disability Smart Inclusive Product Design. There are also three further awards for organisations registered for the Government’s Disability Confident employer scheme. These cover mental wellbeing at work and impact as well as a specific award for small businesses.
DISABILITY SMART AWARDS CEREMONY
The closing date for all entries to the Disability Smart Awards 2023 is 5pm (GMT) on Friday 27 January 2023. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 27 April co-hosted by disability trainer and consultant, and TV personality Simon Minty, alongside BDF’s CEO, Diane Lightfoot.
Commenting on co-hosting the awards this year, Simon Minty, who is also a long-standing BDF Ambassador, said: “I’m really pleased to be supporting the Disability Smart Awards this year. The awards recognise businesses that have taken action to make things better for disabled people and we need more of this. I’m excited to see this year’s entries and applaud those who are doing amazing work.”
