The UK’s second Race Equality Week, on 7-13 February 2022, will unite thousands of organisations to address race equality in the workplace.
Are you ready for it? If not, the Race Equality Matters team has organised an event to help you/your organisation get ready for it. The free, virtual event will take place on the 14 September 2021.
The events of 2020, including the Black Lives Matter movement and the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on ethnic minority communities, has heightened public consciousness of race inequality. Now there is a need to galvanise and maximise impact through a nationwide collaboration for real change. Race Equality Week unites employees, focuses senior leaders and encourages them to continue their activity and drive race equality all year long.
CATALYST FOR ONGOING CHANGE
With over 2000 organisations engaged in the inaugural Race Equality Week in February 2021, next year’s event is set to be “bigger and better”. The organisers are calling companies across the UK to take part in next month’s event, designed to help plan activities.
During the virtual interactive session, you will:
1. Learn more about Race Equality Week, its role in tackling race inequality and how your organisation can get involved.
2. Hear about impactful solutions that you can implement during the week.
3. Share and explore ideas with like-minded members of the Race Equality Matters community.
Speakers – including Network Rail’s Loraine Martins OBE, HS2’s Mark Lomas, Green Park’s CEO Raj Tulsiani and Race Equality Matters’ Javed Thomas – will highlight how Race Equality Week 2022 can help tackle race inequality and how your organisation can get involved.
