OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
For the fifth straight year, New American Funding, a top nationwide mortgage lender, has been named one of the Best Workplaces for Millennials by Fortune and Great Place to Work. This year, the mortgage lender ranked #23 out of 100 companies. The company continues to break its own lending records and currently boasts 4,800 employees, 179 nationwide locations.
The company has already hired more than 1,191 new employees this year, with diversity key in its recruitment. Millennials comprise 38% of the company’s workforce, while women and minorities make up 60% and 45%, respectively, confirmed the company.
PROVIDING GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
The listing has once again named analytics firm SAS as one of 2021’s Best Workplaces for Millennials. SAS firmly believes that the ability to attract and retain creative employees directly affects business success. Employees are critical to the company’s innovation, so SAS invests in all its employees – from career development to health and well-being. SAS is deeply committed to helping employees succeed at every stage of their careers. Networking and career development initiatives like SAS YPN, as well as full-time training programmes like the SAS academies help foster a sense of community for early-career individuals. And opportunities like the Emerging Leaders programme help support and guide employees as they advance and seek leadership training and skills.
“SAS provides employees countless opportunities to grow professionally and personally, as well as make a true difference for our communities,” said Pauline Ashcraft, Program Manager for Risk Research and Quantitative Solutions at SAS and leader of the SAS Young Professionals Network (YPN). “Our unique company culture encourages employees to harness their creativity and passion to work on meaningful projects that drive innovation for our industry and our world.”
RIGOROUS ANALYSIS
Great Place to Work determines the list each year through rigorous analysis of data from their proprietary Trust Index employee experience survey. To determine the list, Great Place to Work analysed confidential survey feedback representing more than 5.3 million employees.
Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organisation creates a great workplace For All. Around 85% of the evaluation is based on what millennials say about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organisation; no matter who they are or what they do. The remaining 15% is based on an assessment of millennials’ daily experiences of innovation; the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders.
