Italian Vineyard Cantina Goccia has launched a limited edition wine capsule collection in the world’s first paper bottles to celebrate Pride 2021.

The bespoke range of 12 colourful wines in paper bottles aims to put LGBT+ rights on the map; and contribute vital funds to local pride charities across the globe. The new collection utilises the Frugal Bottle; a sustainable alternative to glass, which the vineyard has championed since it came to market in June 2020.

“Pride events were designed to disrupt and start a conversation,” highlighted Cantina Goccia’s owner Ceri Parke. “Challenging the status quo is sometimes the only way to effect change; that’s what we’re doing with our paper bottle; and that’s what those that advocate for equal rights do day in, day out.”

HONOURING LGBT+ ICONS

The new PRIDE collection features 12 distinct bottle designs comprising Cantina Goccia award-winning red and white wine. The bottles, each representing a colour of the LGBT+ Progress flag, also feature LGBT icons that have fought for change and progress. Some of the famous people immortalised in the collection include Marsha P Johnson, Alan Turing and Laverne Cox.

“Our new range honours the LGBT+ icons that have fought for change for the benefit of the community. Thanks to people like Laverne Cox, Harvey Milk and Barbara Gittings, the lives of millions of LGBT+ people across the world have been made better; but there is still much more to be done,” pointed out Parke.

The bottles will also help to raise vital funds for charities across the globe. We’re proud to be supporting LGBT+ community this year through our new limited edition PRIDE capsule collection. For every bottle sold, we’ll be donating funds to local charities that help to make the lives of the LGBT+ community better,” added Parke.

Many other companies such as Mastercard, H&M, Guess and Kellogg, have also launched initiatives to celebrate Pride 2021. For more stories like this, as well as workplace-related LGBTQ+ news and research, click here.
