Now in its 10th year, the AbilityNet Tech4Good Awards is open for nominations. The event recognises organisations and individuals who use digital technology to improve the lives of others and make the world a better place.
“They are the only awards that highlight the wealth of charities, businesses and volunteers across the UK that harness the power of technology to benefit the community,” according to the organiser. “We’ve worked with BT since 2011 to create these unique Awards and our goal is to shine a spotlight on these inspiring stories and help others learn how they can use technology to do good.”
The awards were created by AbilityNet with the help of BT and a number of businesses, charities and non-profit partners and sponsors, to highlight how companies are utilising the empowering influence of digital technology – whether it’s at home, at work, in education – for good.
LIFE-CHANGING TECHNOLOGY
Access to the digital world can be life changing. The hard work of people of all ages shouldn’t be overlooked, which is why it relies on the general public to let them know about generous individuals, community projects, local businesses and nationwide campaigns that fit into their award categories.
This year, there are 10 Tech4Good Award categories to choose from. Entry is open to any organisation or individual using technology to make the world a better place. It is free to enter and entry is open to any individual, start-up, charity, small or large business, local authority, public body, school, college, university or any other organisation. Deadline for nominations is Wednesday 5 May 2021. Click here for more information.
