BT and Race Equality Matters, which recently launched the UK’s first-ever Race Equality Week, have organised an event to discuss race and inequality.
The ‘Let’s Not Go Back to Normal’ panel discussion on 31 March 2021 will explore race inequality in the top echelons of sport. The global pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests of 2020 have placed the reality of racial inequality on the world stage. Many sports stars, teams and associations have been vocal and visible in their support of race equality, from taking the knee to social posting. However, the decision-making ranks of sport leadership remain predominantly white and male.
This action-orientated discussion will seek to answer the question ‘What next? How in 2021 can we turn conversation into meaningful change.’ Click here for more information.
