The Inclusive Awards, one of the UK’s most anticipated diversity and inclusion awards ceremonies, is now open for nominations.
With the increasing richness of diversity in Britain, the Inclusive Companies Awards recognise employers that unite workforces and challenge discrimination, and applaud those for their fight against inequality. In recent years, the awards have led the way in commending true inclusion; as well as the exceptional contribution to the workplace made by inclusive companies and pioneering employees across all industries and sectors. The Inclusive Awards has opened its nominations in conjunction with the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers; which will be also unveiled at an awards ceremony; scheduled for the end of this year.
“In unprecedented and challenging times, using the talent of a diverse workforce is more important than ever,” stated Paul Sesay, CEO of the Inclusive Companies Awards. “This tough climate has led us to take a fresh look at how we can promote employers, initiatives and champions that lead in their business case for diversity. We are thrilled to re-open nominations for this year, and celebrate diversity and inclusion as a whole.”
CELEBRATING BRITISH DIVERSITY
Designed to highlight employers tackling issues internally and externally, Britain’s diverse talent will be showcased in a celebration of equality champions at an awards ceremony. Leaders will be invited to the event to honour British diversity, and celebrate the phenomenal achievements of those who demonstrate their outstanding devotion to inclusion.
Commenting on this year’s nominations, Inclusive Awards Judge Samantha Budd, Director of National Union of Students UK (interim) stated: “As we start to understand the role that employers have in contributing to the creation of a fairer society, we understand the importance of recognising and celebrating excellence in the field of inclusion and diversity. I am very proud to be involved in the judging panel for the 2021 Inclusive Awards as I believe that the traction that these awards are making across all sectors, sizes and types of organisations is extraordinary. The Inclusive Awards shine a light on this important agenda; and encourages us – as business leaders – to step up and ensure that we are playing our role and making a difference.”
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION EXCELLENCE
“This year, the world was rocked by Covid-19 and the senseless killing of George Floyd,” added Inclusive Awards judge Jiten Patel; also Conscious Inclusion Specialist and Founder of Diversync. “Companies are talking about diversity and inclusion more than ever. And, of course, it will be great to recognise those that are really creating culture change. This is why I am delighted to be a judge for the 2021 awards.”
Fair Play Talks’ Founder & Director Pepi Sappal is also “honoured” to be judging this year’s awards: “The event is definitely one that organisations and individuals should mark down on this year’s calendar, as it provides recognition for workplace diversity and inclusion excellence; regardless of your age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, faith, religion and culture.”
