The Rocking Ur Teens organisers have announced the sixth Teen Girls Empowerment Conference to celebrate International Women’s Day.
“We are delighted to invite 13-15 year girls to out empowerment conference, celebrating International Women’s Day #ChooseToChallenge on 17 March,” said the organisers and diversity champions Jenny Garrett, Geoffrey Williams and Sandy Parris.
The event builds on the success of the last five years and will be an ideal opportunity for 13 and 15-year-olds to:
- Be inspired by young women doing great things that they can relate to.
- Take part in inspiring workshops and learn from the real life experiences of our speakers.
- Increase aspirations and understand the many opportunities potentially available to them in non-typical industries and corporate organisations.
- Celebrate International Women’s Day amongst their peers.
- Focus on their mental health and wellbeing.
- Have a positive day reflecting on what’s good about being them.
TOP SPEAKERS
Guest speakers include Meera Sharma, a British Indian television personality, published author and DJ. She wrote the Little Book of Sass to motivate individuals when they need it the most. Sharma’s current work explores the intersection between her Indian heritage and Western upbringing; she uses numerous mediums to encourage discussions around identity and representation.
Inspiring Vanessa, is international multi-award winning Motivational Speaker, who will speak at the event. The presenter, podcast host, YouTuber and model not your average 14-year-old girl. She is also author of several books including: The 5 Secrets to Public Speaking Success, Vanessa’s Book of Quotes – Inspiration on the go! and audio book – the 12 keys to Success. Vanessa’s journey began when she was only 9 years old and became one of the youngest motivational speaker in the UK. Vanessa’s mission is to inspire children and adults around the world to believe in themselves and have the courage to be whoever they want to be.
