The Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR) has partnered with global beauty brand No7 to launch its new Unstoppable Together movement and Job Summit.
The event is aimed at getting women back to work through education, resources and tools. Since the start of the pandemic, more than five million women exited the workforce; compared to 4.4 million jobs lost for men. The on-going pandemic, school closures and caretaking responsibilities continue to threaten women’s ability to re-enter the workforce and sustain employment, according to IWPR.
CREATING SHECESSION AWARENESS
The movement – which also partners with iconic women leaders such as Arianna Huffington, Maria Shriver, Kate Walsh, Tamron Hall, Padma Lakshmi and Minda Harts – is designed to raise awareness about the SHEcession; an economic downturn where job and income losses disproportionately affects women. It also aims to help jumpstart the shecovery.
“IWPR is proud to partner with No7 on the Unstoppable Together movement to help women get back to work, a core part of our mission of empowering and supporting working women, their families and communities,” stated C Nicole Mason, President/CEO, Institute for Women’s Policy Research. “There is a great role for businesses and global brands like No7 to play in helping women re-enter the work force, reimagine their work life, and raise awareness about the impact of the pandemic on women domestically and globally.”
JUMPSTARTING A SHERECOVERY
“As a global beauty brand with an 85-year history of supporting unstoppable women abroad, No7 is aiming to bring this same mission to the US. Our current focus is to raise awareness and spark conversation around the SHEcession,” added Anisha Raghavan, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Brands Americas at Walgreens Boots Alliance. “With the backing of Dr. Mason and IWPR on the No7 Unstoppable Together movement, we look forward to shedding light on this issue and working towards a collective SHEcovery.
No7 will also host the Unstoppable Together Job Summit on 24 February 2021. The Summit will feature workshops, coaching, and inspiring panels featuring women leaders to support women from across the country who have lost their jobs or reimagining what their work life will look like post-pandemic. The virtual event is free and open to the public.

Women will continue to fall out of the workforce as the pandemic continues to drag on, and businesses and schools remain closed, warns IWPR. Read more here.
