INvolve’s upcoming virtual event will explore why there are so few out LGBT+ leaders in the corporate world.
In fact, just four CEOs of Fortune 500 companies are openly out. Additionally, only 24 out of 5,690 Director seats (0.2%) in Fortune 500 companies are held by openly LGBTQ leaders. There are also currently no out LGBT+ CEOs of FTSE 100 companies. Why is this?
That’s the very topic that will be discussed at INVolve’s next event. Following the release of the OUTstanding LGBT+ Role Model Lists 2020, INvolve has organised a virtual event next week, together with this year’s top OUTstanding Role Models, to discuss the lack of out LGBT+ leaders within business. It will also explore how organisations can maintain progress on LGBT+ inclusion alongside other urgent business and diversity priorities.
DIVERSITY CHAMPIONS
The personal and professional perspectives of this year’s top Role Models on the actions needed to promote LGBT+ inclusion in 2021 will prove invaluable for diversity champions and professionals at a time when conversations about equality have taken centre-stage.
The conversation will be moderated by Suki Sandhu OBE, Founder and CEO, Audeliss & INvolve. The line-up of speakers include:
- Number 1 OUTstanding LGBT+ Executive Beth Ford, President and CEO, Land O’Lakes
- Number 1 OUTstanding LGBT+ Future Leader Leigh F. Capule, Migrations Manager | GSC Philippines, HSBC
- Number 1 OUTstanding LGBT+ Ally Executive Greg Case, CEO, Aon
