Celebrating Neurodiversity Awards 2021 are now open for nominations.
The aim of the awards is to celebrate successes in the neurodiverse/neurodivergent community, according to the organiser Genius Within. These awards recognise those individuals, businesses and projects that have gone above and beyond to promote accessibility and inclusion for neurominorities.
AWARDS CATEGORIES
Sponsored by Microsoft, the award categories include:
Assistive Technology Implementation of the Year: This award is for companies who have embedded technology in a way that creates a level playing field for neurominorities.
Inclusion Project of the Year: The award is aimed at projects that have done outstanding work to reduce discrimination and increase access to success for neurominorities.
Most Inclusive Education Provider: This award seeks to celebrate an educational facility or teacher/facilitator that has gone above and beyond to promote awareness and make their education more inclusive.
Neurominority Achiever of the Year: This award recognises individuals whose persistence has allowed them to achieve that they thought was impossible and for those who have become a role model to others.
Stereotype buster of the year: This award recognises those who have busted the stereotype and proved that the only limitation is the level of our aspiration.
Genius of the Year: This award is for coaches, assessors, clinicians, or case managers whose work has gone above and beyond to support neurominorities in accessing their inner genius.
Neurodiverse Research of the Year: Research in this field is seriously under-funded, meaning opportunities to explore what actually works are limited. This award therefore aims to recognise those who are striving to reduce the knowledge gap and promote best practice.
