Women in Technology (WIT) will hold its annual Women of the Year Awards in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) this week.
The virtual event will take place on Thursday 12 November 2020. These awards celebrate female visionaries in the STEAM fields. It gathers top companies at the forefront of STEAM industries to recognise Woman of the Year. The event honours women who demonstrate leadership and vision in business, and those who make a difference in the community.
EXEMPLARY ACHIEVEMENT
Additionally, one award will recognise the Girl of the Year for her exemplary achievement and dedication to STEAM education. Additionally, for the first time, WIT will be awarding Campus Student of the Year. The Coca-Cola Company leads the sponsorship line-up for this “signature event.
“At the Coca-Cola Company, we believe our workforce must be representative of the communities in which we live and work,” stated Coca-Cola Company’s Global CIO, Neeraj Tolmare. “That’s why we are focused on building a talent pipeline that’s diverse, both in gender and race, as well as thought. We know to achieve this workforce balance, we must be intentional with our actions in seeking, developing and advancing talent; and I’m personally very excited to drive this agenda.”
