As the COVID-19 crisis has intensified over the past weeks, more workers have raised the issue of wellbeing with their employers through their staff surveys, according to Peakon’s analysis of nearly two million employee comments. The proportion of global comments relating to wellbeing in March was 51% higher than it was in February, confirms the people analytics platform.
Will COVID-19 finally be the catalyst to force employee wellbeing to top of the corporate agendas? Peakon believes it may well be the case. The need for employers to do more to support their staff’s wellbeing – mental, physical and financial – is arguably greater now than ever. It’s time to put people over profits, stresses Peakon.
PEOPLE OVER PROFIT
Putting people over profit is becoming imperative to safeguarding business interests. So Peakon has organised a virtual event to tackle the topic on employee wellbeing amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar, scheduled for Wednesday 22nd April 2020, will explore how government policy makers and HR leaders have responded to the lockdown restrictions, and the importance of putting employees’ physical, mental and financial wellbeing first.
Speakers include Monique Carter, Executive Vice President of People & Organisation at Novo Nordisk, Mikkel Hagen Hess, Consul General at the Consulate General of Denmark in New York and Patrick Cournoyer, Chief Evangelist at Peakon.
