According to Hilton’s staff, “The importance Hilton places on understanding other cultures as a part of a global hospitality company cannot be understated. The opportunity to travel is a phenomenal perk and one that keeps many people loyal and dedicated to Hilton for many years.” Employees believe that Hilton cares about them “just like they care about their family”.

“The 100 Best show the way forward,” said Michael C Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “These companies have created Great Places to Work For All – for everyone, no matter who a person is or what they do for the organisation. As a result, they have built a path to realise the promise of artificial intelligence, gain strength from a diversity of perspectives, and thrive during downturns.”

“On 3rd March, we’ll be recognising great leaders from some of our premier lists at our For All Leadership Awards gala,” added Bush. On 4th and 5th March delegates will also convene in San Francisco for its For All Summit to learn how to level up their leadership to drive business results, increase innovation and create a Great Place To Work For All (as reported).

LIST METHODOLOGY

Both lists form part of America’s largest ongoing annual workforce study, representing more than 4.1 million employees this year alone, according to Great Place to Work. Employees responded to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organisation creates a Great Place to Work For All. Around 85% of the evaluation is based on employees experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organisation, no matter who they are or what they do. The rest of the evaluation takes into account employees’ daily experiences of the company’s values, people’s ability to contribute new ideas, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they’re consistently experienced.

To be considered, companies submit an application documenting over 200 datapoints describing their HR programmes and practices. Great Place to Work then conducts a confidential survey of each company’s workforce, along with news and financial performance of the business to ensure that the survey results are trustworthy. Companies need to employ at least 1,000 US employees to be considered for the 100 Best Companies list, and at least 100,000 employees globally to be considered for the Best Big Companies to Work For list.
