The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) Awards Chair, Jane Hatton, will host a free webinar on Thursday 13th February 2020 to inspire award nominations. Hatton will host the webinar with last year’s winner Gill Austen of Clarity, who will not only talk about Clarity’s winning entry, but why the company entered the awards, and why others should enter this year. Executive Board member Melanie Forbes of Rullion will also share her experience of what makes a winning entry, things that have stood out in past winners, as well as examples of people and organisations who should be sharing their successes in the RIDI 2020 Awards.
These awards celebrate the ‘very best of disability confident recruitment’, according to RIDI. The awards are free to enter and there are seven categories, from ‘Most Inclusive Recruitment Campaign’ to ‘Recruitment Team of the Year’ to choose from.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Entering the awards is easy, says RIDI. The process is over two rounds, allowing individuals to nominate the organisation that they work for or one they admire. They are even allowed to enter multiple categories. The first round is online, where individuals explain how the organisation being nominated goes the extra mile for the chosen category, what makes the entry special, and how it meets the category criteria. The deadline for the first round is 9th March 2020. If the nomination makes it through to round two, nominees will be contacted for further supporting information via a short interview, which the judges will review along with the entry form to decide the final shortlist.
