The All-in Diversity Project, an initiative that aims to benchmark diversity, equality and inclusion in the gambling and betting industry, has announced the launch of its first campaign of the year.
Launching on 27th January 2020, its #opendoors campaign is designed to celebrate champions who have opened career doors for others in the industry. The campaign hopes to highlight the fact that everyone can make a difference and help increase levels of diversity, which in turn will lead to innovation, internationalisation and an increase to the bottom line, according to All-in Diversity Project. By posting the thank you, individuals are being asked to call-out those who champion talent and support others, but also to pledge to ‘hold the door open’ for another person in some way, it added.
ALL-IN BADGE
The campaign will be accompanied by an All-in pin badge during ICE 2020, the three-day annual gaming industry event (in February 2020), which individuals and companies can wear/display to show their support. “The idea behind #opendoors is simple,” commented Kelly Kehn, Co-Founder of All-in Diversity Project.
“If we really want to progress and be a more diverse and inclusive industry, we need to recognise that we did not get to where we are in our career without the help of someone along the way. By thanking someone who helped you, you are also pledging that you are willing to hold the door open for someone else who might need it.
“When we recognise that we didn’t get here alone, we are also recognising some people do not benefit from that support because of assumptions, bias, etc, and immediately become more conscious of our differences,” Kehn explained.
DIVERSITY WORKS
Adding to her comments, All-in Diversity Project Co-Founder Christina Thakor-Rankin, stated: “Aside of the opportunity to celebrate those who champion others, we’re hoping that the association of a visual tag linked to some of the most successful individuals and companies in the industry says it all – diversity works.”
The industry is being encouraged to share the idea with their colleagues and engage their entire team/office in the campaign using the hashtag #opendoors. Pin badges will be delivered via sponsors and All-in Diversity Project at ICE 2020, confirmed the founders.
