Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) professionals and champions will not want to miss out two key D&I events organised by d&i Leaders next month in the UK, according to organiser and founder, Mark Baker. The Race at Work Summit is scheduled to take place on 8th May 2019 and the Gender at Work Summit is scheduled for the following day (9th May 2019). Both events take place at Hilton London Tower Bridge in the City.
RACE AT WORK SUMMIT
The Race at Work Summit will explore the five calls to action set out in the Race at Work Charter, and how to report on, and address, the ethnicity pay gap. Other topics include how to start a conversation about ‘race at the top’, the role of employee networks, race embassadors and line managers, recruiting British Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) talent, and how to develop BAME leaders.
With more than 20 speakers, on stage interviews and panel discussions, the event will leave you ‘inspired to address racial inequality in your organisation’, according to the organiser.
GENDER AT WORK SUMMIT
Timed one month after the annual Gender Pay Gap reporting deadline, the Gender at Work Summit will provide a timely opportunity to explore the barriers to achieving gender equality and share practical examples of progress. Topics include: tackling unconscious bias and how to ‘unstereotype’ the workplace, the role of men as change agents and holding senior leaders accountable for achieving gender results.
Speakers attending both events, include D&I experts from companies such as Diageo, Unilever, Virgin Media, Sainsbury’s Centrica, Mars, Fujitsu, Lloyds Banking Group and Autotrader UK.
