The National Centre for Diversity (NCFD) has announced the top 100 UK organisations that promote fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement (FREDIE) across the public and private sectors.
Now in its fourth year, the Top 100 Index highlights the ‘excellent work’ that organisations are doing to champion equality and D&I principles, and encourage fairness for all.
Commenting on the results, which were announced at the Grand Awards at London’s Earls Court last night, NCFD’s Chief Executive Solat Chaudhry, stated: ‘We live in difficult and uncertain times with the UK divided after the Brexit vote. Fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement defines a nation. It is so important to demonstrate the excellent work that is counteracting the negativity, ensuring that collectively the UK can hold its head high and say that we are continuously working to improve our culture and attitude, to ensure fairness for all.”
INSPIRING ORGANISATIONS
According to Chaudhry, the inspiring organisations that made the Top 100, “demonstrate excellent levels of employee retention and recruitment, and clearly demonstrate how they value and respect the people that work for them”.
Huddersfield New College tops the poll for the third year running. “It is an astonishing achievement for Huddersfield New College to attain the top position for the third year in a row,” added Chaudhry. “It shows the consummate professionalism and wonderful inclusive leadership qualities of the Senior Management Team.”
